Over the past two summers, I have had the pleasure of taking pictures of the "Cooks at Camp" inspired by the Kids Cook Classroom and Community Garden at Loring Elementary School in Minneapolis. I was introduced to this amazing program by food stylist, Robin Krause, who started it with her sister, Starla, in 2003. This volunteer based program teaches inner-city children and their families basic gardening, cooking and life-lesson skills in North Minneapolis. One great summer recipe from the garden classroom is this fresh rhubarb lemonade that I took on a recent photo shoot with Robin. The recipe uses fresh rhubarb from the garden and lemon to create a refreshing summer drink that is fun to make and the kids love.
