Fire & Ice

I had a blast shooting both of these images, with a little help from both Nikki and Kevin of course!  Both images posed some unique challenges that took some real planning to figure out.  Like how to freeze a bottle of Smirnoff Ice in a large chunk of ice water without the beverage itself freezing!  Well, after a little research and some brainstorming, here are the results.  Hope you enjoy!

Help us welcome the newest member of TKP, JD Havens

I’m very excited to be the newest member of TKP!  A little extra about my background in addition to my bio, I spent several years at the University of Minnesota studying Elementary Education before pursuing photography as a career.  After graduating from Brooks Institute, I returned to Minneapolis to begin a freelance career working with clients such as TresEmme, 3M, and General Mills.

One of the first projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on at the studio is for a local brewery, yielding some great new images including the one below.

I’ve had a great start with the TKP team, they’re incredible, and am excited to continue settling in to my new home.
